Ranking Member Smith Welcomes Ron Barber to HASC

Washington DC – House Armed Services Committee Ranking Member Adam Smith (WA-09) released the following statement welcoming Congressman Ron Barber to the House Armed Services Committee:

“I would like to welcome Congressman Ron Barber to the House Armed Services Committee. We are very pleased to have him join the committee. Given the strong military culture and history of Arizona’s 8th Congressional District, Ron is a perfect fit for both the district and the House Armed Services Committee. Ron understands the district, and its needs, and while Congresswoman Giffords will be sorely missed, I am certain that Ron will pick up where she left off and ensure that Arizona’s 8th district has a strong voice here in Congress.”
